City of Hamilton By-law No. 19-114, cited in its own short title as the discharge of recreational firearms by-law and replacing By-law No. 05-114. It treats a bow the same as a firearm, names prohibited areas — inside the urban boundary, rural settlement areas mapped in Schedule A, residential zones, parks, public centres and public trails — and sets distance separations of 100 metres for a firearm and 50 metres for a bow. Exceptions cover farmers, licensed trappers, indoor ranges and sanctioned archery events.
