The City of Hamilton's tree protection guidelines for privately owned land, written by the Community Planning and Design Section for landowners and developers taking a proposal through Planning Act approvals or a Niagara Escarpment Plan permit. Four steps run from a general vegetation inventory, through a tree protection plan with its tagged tree inventory chart, map and analysis, to implementation — hoarding, a verification of tree protection letter, a post-grading maintenance report and security deposits — and finally a landscape plan with one for one compensation. A glossary, native and invasive species lists close it.
