The eco-industrial design guidelines for the City of Hamilton's Airport Employment Growth District, prepared by Dillon Consulting Limited on the basis of section 8.13 of the district's secondary plan and used alongside the district's urban design guidelines. Nine principles — transportation, energy and greenhouse gas reduction, water and wastewater, stormwater, materials and solid waste, economic sustainability, social sustainability, site development and natural corridors, and food production — each pair a rationale with measures marked required, optional or not applicable, forming the checklist that accompanies an energy and environmental assessment report.
