The coniferous half of the City of Hamilton's pair of Site Plan Guidelines planting details, companion to its deciduous tree sheet. It shows a sectioned conifer set in a prepared pit over scarified subsoil, with a three-point stake layout drawn at 120 degree spacing, T-rail deadmen, galvanized wire and rubber hose ties, shredded bark mulch and a raised saucer. Seven numbered notes address soaking the root ball, the topsoil, compost and peat mix, a height below which staking is omitted, and covering stock in transit.
